Feast of Christ the King
November 21, 2010, is the last day for ordinary times and we will start again to our new liturgical calendar, the beginning of the advent season. We commemorate the feast of Christ our king in Villa del Sol in City of San Fernando Pampanga to be one or be united to praise and glorify Him. The main theme of the celebration is about the Reproductive Health Bill that the Church is not in favor. A prayer rally was held so that the people may be aware of the consequences when this bill will be passed. A lot of different organization joined the rally to witness the solemnity of our Lord and be one to against the said bill. And when the homily started the priest really focus about the Reproductive Health Bill and associate it with the feast of Christ the King. The Church said that it will weaken and loosen the moral fiber of the nation and it will introduce a new culture, the culture of death. Also it will have an irreversible consequence in our life. By listening and understanding the homily, the Reproductive Health Bill is not appropriate to each one of us because of the consequences like it is anti-poor and anti-life. As a Catholic, life is so important to us. We treasure it because life is not our possession, God only give it to us and He is the only one who can tell when will we going to die and what is our future. We only do what good for everyone and God will give us what we really deserve.

Describe what is motivating Jim Goodnight. Discuss how these factors are similar or different to what may motivate you if you worked at SAS. What motivates Jim goodnight is that he has assembled a company with loyal employees that enjoy working in the organization. Jim believes thatâ⬠if you treat employees as if they make a difference to the company, they will make a differenceâ⬠to the company. (Hellriegel & Slocum, 2011) As stated in the case just having the ability to work in relax and stress free environment makes the job more productive which is a great factor in any job you work at. Jim offers great benefits to work at SAS. SAS has an on cite daycare center for kids is a great factor. Having the ability to have unlimited sick days to take off for family. Those are the most important factors when working because you never want to feel like you put your job in jeopardy for taking off a lot for sick days. Hellriegel, D. & Slocum, Jr. J. (2011). Organizational behavior. Mason, OH Cengage Learning publishing Describe ethical problems associated with performance-based reward programs. Ethical problems associated with based performance reward programs are for example with DIRECTV as a CSR are incentives are base upon our yearly performance which our supervisor gets a percentage of that. I feel that supervisors shouldnââ¬â¢t be able to get a certain percentage of the employeeââ¬â¢s earnings. This has been implemented from the job as a offer or incentive to supervisor as a benefit for the job. In your experience, explain any abuses you have seen. An experience I have seen at a previous job where I have worked, an employee has trained another employee for a supervisor position and once trained the employee made less money than the other employee that was trained. I find that to be ethical. Recommend how leaders can correct such abuses. Leaders need to design a better management that can be the over sea to correct the loop holes in the issues that are occurring. Employees shouldnââ¬â¢t train management. There should be a team of management trainers that train the managers for their jobs.

Hypothesis testing Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words
Hypothesis testing - Essay Example There is a procedure followed in hypothesis testing. The first step involves the stating of both the null and alternate hypothesis. The hypothesis is stated in a manner that they are mutually exclusive. The second stage is the determination of the level of significance (Lehmann, 2004). The higher the level of significance, the higher the precision attained. The sample size is then determined to allow for the collection of data. The size of data will determine the type of test conducted. After the collection of data, one moves to the stage of data analysis. In this stage, the value of test statistics is calculated e.g. z-value or the t-value (2012). The analysis of the calculated value is made by use of the statistical tables. The table is used to determine if the calculated score falls within the acceptance or rejection region (Lehmann, 2004). The final stage is then made depending on the location of the score. If the calculated value falls in the rejection region, the null hypothesis is rejected implying that there is significant variation in the observation made. Two kinds of error can be made in hypothesis testing: type one and type two errors. Type one error is that which leads to the rejection of null hypothesis which is true whereas type two error is the error of accepting a false null hypothesis. In conclusion, the stages in hypothesis testing if well followed makes the hypothesis testing easy to comprehend and make statistical decisions. Hypothesis testing is therefore essential in analyzing data to determine its validity and truthfulness hence important in making statistical

External Environment Analysis of Rio International Company in Dubai Essay
External Environment Analysis of Rio International Company in Dubai - Essay Example The company currently provides its services to the Middle East and other Asian countries at large. It is believed that it is through its lengthy relations that the company has stronger networks and connections. Locally, the company extends its services to airports, resorts, catering suppliers, restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, and Multi Star Hotels (Atninfo, 2013). In as much as the company can rejoice and celebrate so many years of existence, there is much that it should do about its environmental factors that directly affect its performance and its future success. To be able to do this, the company needs to carry out an environmental analysis that would involve analyzing all the factors in its external environment that directly affect its performance. In analyzing Rio Internationalââ¬â¢s external environment, we use the following tools: Most of the equipment that are provided by the companies in the food processing industry in Dubai are manufactured and imported from Switzerland and Germany. This has inhibited adequate growth in the industry as most of the revenues earned taken back to the countries where the products come to purchase more. When the industry depends so much on other countries for the supply of the equipment, it loses the independence to keep itself in business without overreliance on other countries. The industry can, therefore, face easy extinction in case the countries supplying it with the equipment decides to put unfriendly policies that would make it hard for bilateral or multilateral trade between the countries. The government of Dubai is involved largely in the key sectors of the economy. Manufacturing and processing being one such sector, the government can use its political influences to protect such sectors from external exploitation. Therefore, the industry is protected politically through formulation of appropriate legal conditions to make it grow and survive without much
